Berry Muffins |

2 cups sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons
shortening, melted
2 teaspoons baking
powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup milk
1/2 cup fresh
strawberries, sliced |

| Sift
the dry ingredients,
then moisten with the
combined egg, milk and
shortening. Stir
in berries, stirring
only enough to
thoroughly blend. Bake
in well greased muffin
pans at 350°F to 400°F,
20 to 25 minutes.
